Exodus 1947~70th Annivesary Memorial Ceremony

Remembrance of key events in the modern history of Israel is a powerful way to preserve their significance. 

In 1947 the Jewish Underground came into possession of an old steam boat which they refitted with the hope of breaking the blockade the British had erected around Mandated Palestine. On board were 4,500 sick and battered Holocaust survivors.

In June 1947 the "Exodus" was intercepted and rammed on both sides of it’s hull by British battle ships. When they could not sink the boat they boarded with rifles and clubs to battle the unarmed refugees. In the end, three were killed and more than one hundred and fifty were injured.

The sick, and injured were removed from the Exodus in Haifa’s port and shipped off to camps in Cyprus. The British sent the rest to Hamburg, Germany, where they were put back into the concentration camps they had fled. Many died in the process. The British have never apologized. It was a tragic event, that added strength to the longing for, and creation of the new State of Israel on 14 May 1948.

Seven and a half weeks after Jay’s surgery, he and Meridel enjoyed their first all day outing as the invited guests of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ), for the unveiling of a memorial to the "Exodus 47".

Exactly 70 years later, the memorial, held in the port of Haifa Harbour, was highlighted by the unveiling of a sculpture and historic marker in memory of the courageous passengers.

This touching ceremony was attended by some of the remaining survivors, now in their late 70's to early 90's. Also attending was Natan Sharansky, a "refusenik", who in 2009 was elected to the chair of the executive of the Jewish Agency for Israel, by the Jewish Agency Board of Governors.

We must never forget the past and those who suffered and fought for the freedoms we have today!

British and Proud on St. George's Day

The below speech was made for St. George's Day. 

It less about history, however, and more abut the fact that it is rare to see anyone in the political spectrum (in free democratic countries) stand up and say how proud they are of their history and what they stand for. More often we witness a self-condemnation of what freedom and democracy has brought to the world~without recognizing the alternative.

We all know the world is not perfect, but it does become tiring to be told that we must feel shame for working hard to put a roof over our heads, educate our children and (shocker!) hold with traditional values of right and wrong.

The rest of the free western world needs to take heed and learn to be proud of what we have accomplished. Yes, there is still a long way to go before we will get it right, but currently we are throwing out the baby with the bathwater (and maybe the tub as well...)

 

Fallout of Muslim Hatefest on Remembrance Day

The video below shows how the Muslims in the UK observed Remembrance Day. As a result two of them were charged. Ugly scenes erupted outside Belmarsh Magistrates’ Court, south-east London, as Muslims gathered to support Mohammed Haque and Emdadur Choudhury, who are accused of using "threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour". Their supporters chanted "democracy, hypocrisy"  The full story is available at Bare Naked Islam's Blog HERE.

It is particularly offensive that they desecrate the flag and memory of those who gave their lives for democracy and freedom. It is disgraceful that these people immigrate and live off public taxpayer money yet spit and revile the very people whose country they have immigrated to. It is beyond comprehension that this kind of behaviour is tolerated. This is not allowing citizens to exercise freedom of speech, this is encouraging terror-like behaviour. When is the west going to wake up?

This is a very frightening look at Britain--the once great country that spread its influence around the world. Now, they face cultural suicide foisted upon the British without their consent by a political left liberal elite who hold national identity and national pride in contempt. I urge you to watch the entire film--this shameless political correctness and pandering is not unique to Britain--it is spreading all over the free world. We need to wake up and take action to preserve freedom and democracy or we will loose it completely.

British Schools, Islamic Rules--Panorama Documentary

Earlier I posted the trailer to a documentary by the BBC program, Panorama.  As a rule, BBC is openly pro-Muslim and very anti-Israel, and they did manage a dig at "some Orthodox Jewish schools locked in their own world", and of course they even found "one" Evangelical Christian school that condemned the entire religion of Islam. The fact is, the Islamic schools in Britain have been overrun by fundamentalist Muslim hate preachers who are raising up a generation of haters--exactly what the Arab world has done throughout the Middle-East--generation after generation raised to hate everything and every one who is not a Muslim.  Raised  under the primitive, oppressive laws of Sharia. They even ate other Muslims, because this "education system" is paid for and controlled by the Saudis (even though they try to deny it). If Britain chooses to gloss over the fact that  the Saudis are funding "hate schools" they will seal their own doom--it may already be too late.  If these  folks are so intent on  hating  and destroying everything British they should go back to where they came from. Teaching Sharia to Kids--in British Schools!

A recent BBC Panorama documentary revealed that 5,000 Muslim children in England are being taught from a Saudi textbook which teaches that Jews are transformed from pigs, apes, and asks them to list the “reprehensible” qualities of Jews. Another says that Zionists want to establish world domination for Jews, one of the charges made in the anti-Semitic Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

One textbook uses a diagram to show how the hands and feet of thieves are chopped off according to Shari’a law. A second book asks readers what happens to those who don’t believe in Islam when they die. The text’s answer: “hellfire”. Notice that they always read from the Koran before carrying out "justice". You just can't make garbage like this up!

The textbooks are being used to teach the Saudi national curriculum at more than 40 weekend schools and clubs across the country are using these books to teach Muslim children aged six to 18. They are run under the umbrella of “Saudi Students Clubs and Schools in the UK and Ireland”. And Yes that would be the same  Saudi Arabia that was just elected to the UN's New Women's Rights Agency--isn't that special. So why isn't the British Government Doing Anything About it??
