US Military: Bibles Banned~Ramadan Rules Enforced

You Really Can't Make This Stuff Up!

I found this interesting report on Blazing Cat Fur's blog

The US Air Force banned Christian Gideon’s volunteers from the base in March, saying:

“They can place their literature within our facility, but they are not allowed to stand there and talk with applicants or hand them (the Bibles) out

The question to be asked is: Does this same ban apply to Muslims and their literature on Islam? Take for example, the fact that US military personnel are not only expected to adhere to Islamic practices during Ramadan, they are actually having briefing sessions. From a report in the Stars and Stripes:

...US personnel accustomed to drinking their coffee on the drive to work will have to put that habit on hold for about a month. It’s one of a few lifestyle changes Americans will have to make during the holy month of Ramadan.

...Base cultural advisers have spent the last few weeks conducting Ramadan briefs to educate Americans about the holy month...(Ali) Hassan encouraged personnel to experience Iftar in a Ramadan tent, many of which are set up at various locations around Bahrain during the holy month and welcome non-Muslims.

A few of the Rules to be followed: (Taken from Stars and Stripes):

* Eating, drinking, chewing and smoking in public are civil offenses in some Islamic countries
* Men should wear long sleeves and pants. Women’s sleeves should extend below the elbow and pants or
   skirts should cover the knees.
* Avoid critical remarks about fasting or any religious practice
* Most restaurants will be closed except those in 4 and 5-star hotels
* All consumption of alcohol by US military personnel is prohibited at any off base public venue in the US
Navy 5th Fleet Area of Responsibility during Ramadan.

While the rules are not torture, and it is not clear if this will be a blanket policy for all US Military bases, the real question that must be asked is: How much reciprocation do Christians (or any non-Muslims) receive from Muslims~In Our Own Countries? We are expected to respect a culture and views that are foreign, and indeed conflicting with our way of life, yet we must "respect" the foreign culture, while the foreign culture rejects anthing of ours. This is the height of politically correct stupidity.

Christians for the most part, do respect others. Now, it is time for Christians to start demanding that same level of respect for themselves. We are entering into dangerous territory when we allow our own beliefs to be sacrificed in the name of "political correctlness".

Proud Israeli~Arab Teen Sends A Strong Message to All

Mohammad Zoabi is a sixteen year old with stong opinions and a maturity far beyond his years.

When three teens were kidnapped while on their way home from school, many muslims celebrated and the media was flooded with images of the "three finger salute".

The entire country has been united in prayer; family and friends wait; musicians are suddenly inspired, and politicians (of course) are trying to get their "bonus points" in while they can.

Meanwhile, Mohammad's young voice has risen above the rest. Yes, he is only sixteen (the same age as two of the kidnapped youths) but he speaks with the confidence, and strength of one much older. He is Israeli, but more than that, he describes himself as Israeli, Zionist, Arab, Muslim~in that order.

Mohammad is a relative of the vile anti-Israel MK, Hanan Zoabi. You may recognize her name from her presence on the Mavi Marmara boat which attemped to break through to Gaza. You can also read about her screeching, treasonous, threats against the very country that pays her wages and allows her, an Arab woman, to sit as an elected member of the Knesset!

Recently a video was posted by Mohammad Zoabi on the kidnapping of the three Israeli teenagers by terrorists. Although he is still in his teens himself, this young man speaks three languages (the message is in English, Hebrew and Arabic) and has very strong opinions about Israel, and loyalty to one's country.

Needless to say, because he called for the teens to be released, and because he is proud to be an Israeli, he is under threat. Reports are that his own family has been threatening him, and Israeli police have already arrested several people.

Below is the message he was forced to post after his life was threatened, and following that, the video of his message on the kidnappings that caused such outrage. If only those in positions of power had such strength of character...

Please Pray for the Safety of This Young Man!

My Resting Place~27 June 2014

Consolation

 I have sought some consolation,
Through remorse and bitter tears,

The weight my shoulders had to bear,
Through all these many years.

Bound by shackles forged by fear,
No mortal tool could break.

Just who or what could make it stop,
Could from this Dream me wake?

Light headed joy I hope to find
As new wine glads the soul.

Judgement from the scales declare
All my parts made whole.

PM Netanyahu: Two Pieces of Advice for Presbyterian Church

Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu was asked about the recent "divestment / boycott" from Israel and Israeli products by the Presbyterian Church.

He responded with two pieces of advice:

1) Fly to Israel...visit the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.

2) ...Take a bus and tour Libya, Syria, Iraq, etc....but make sure it's an
armoured bus~and don't say that you are Christians.

It has also been posted that this church is now planning to remove the word "Israel" from its prayer books.

One must ask if they also plan to change the Bible to insure comlete removal of "Israel"? (Don't even ask about banning the medical and technical innovations that Israel has given the world)

The picture above is scan taken from the "Original, 1611 King James Version of the Bible", telling us that nothing (...not one jot or tittle) in the Bible shall be changed. Here are the original words...

For verily I say vnto you, Till heauen and earth passe, one iote or one title, shall in no wise passe from the law, till all be fulfilled...Matthew 5:18 (Original 1611 KJV Bible)

Those who read scripture are familiar with this commandment, and surely, a "church" would be even more aware. The idea that they feel they have the right to erase Israel for any reason smacks of chutzpah!

The church needs to examine the middle east, with "honest" eyes. In every country Christians are being persecuted, and Muslims are being killed by other Muslims. Women have no rights, the press is stifled. Only in tiny Israel are the Christian and Muslim communities free to grow and practice their faith. Only in Israel do they have full voting rights. Only in Israel are women free to choose their occupation and lifestyle.

Calling a divestment or boycott, because Israel defends her people from another genocide, speaks of the willfull blindness of those who do think in this way. Again, in the words taken from the original source...

Heare now this, O foolish people, and without vnderstanding, which haue eyes and see not, which haue eares and heare not...Jeremiah 5:21 (Original 1611 KJV Bible)

Yes, Israel has many problems and makes many mistakes, but to choose to divestment, boycott, and attempting to ban Israel from the world is equivalent to demanding euthanization of all "mini-poodles" because a "bull-mastiff" attacked the kid next door.

If the Presbyterian Church truly wants to change things, and truly desires to better the situation in the Middle East, perhaps they should call for and end to the persecution of Christians in Arab countries? Forget about the Jews~how about your fellow Christians who are being slaughtered on a daily basis?

To really bring about change, one has to believe in God and prayer. One must pray to God and ask for change...But the prayers must be made with complete, deep, faith and obedience. In today's world, people are very good at reciting the words with great theatrical aplomb, but God knows what is really in their hearts. Only prayer can rescue our broken world, but that prayer will only be answered if it is given up humbly and sincerely to the Lord and King of All.

And I will blesse them that blesse thee, and curse him, that curseth thee: and in thee shal all families of the earth be blessed...Genesis 12:3 (Original 1611 KJV Bible)

Why I support Israel

Sometimes Truth is Brutal~Please Listen Carefully...

My Resting Place...19 June 2014

Over Shadow Me
When all of my oppressors
Are more than I can bear.
Or when I am broken
Hope forsaken
Without a prayer.
Over Shadow Me.

When the ones
That called me friend,
All have left me in the end.
Or if I in deep despair
With only troubles left to wear.
Even in my defeats
Humiliation and conceits.
Over Shadow Me.

When the Joy
Of victories I find.
Please don't let them
Leave me blind
And stalled here in the way.
Please don't let
The moment pass.
Over Shadow Me.
